How to watch ‘Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs’ live stream online tonight via DAZN

One of the best boxing matches of the year will unfold later tonight (Sat., May 4, 2019) live on DAZN from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as WBC and WBA middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) locks horns with IBF middleweight king Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) in a main event title unification bout.

This is a huge middleweight meeting to say the least. Canelo, who inked a monster deal with DAZN late last year, is coming off a vicious TKO finish over Rocky Fielding in his DAZN debut this past December and will look to win another major middleweight title later tonight in Sin City.

Jacobs, on the other hand, is coming off a decision win over Serhiy Derevianchenko last October to claim the IBF middleweight strap and will try to lock down his biggest career victory with an upset of Canelo. Remember, Jacobs came up short against pound-for-pound standout Gennady Golovkin back in 2017 in what remains “Miracle Man’s” lone loss since 2010.

Be sure to catch all the action later tonight as Canelo makes his return to the ring in his second appearance on DAZN. Check out below for all the ways to view the “Canelo vs. Jacobs” fight card in its entirety:

(92.9 The Game) It's Cinco de Mayo weekend, and that means boxing.

Sean Thompson and Craig Carlos-Valentino, hosts of "Championship Rounds," look ahead to Saturday night's fight between superstar champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs for the undisputed middleweight championship at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The 28-year-old Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) is the WBA and WBC middleweight champion; Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs), 32, currently owns the IBF title. On paper, this seems like a great fight (Alvarez is listed by Bovada as a -500 favorite; Jacobs is a +350 underdog). Can it live up to the hype?

"The last thing Jacobs is for Canelo is a just another opponent. He is a legit champion and a legit fighter who will bring the fight to Canelo," Thompson said. "(Jacobs) beat cancer and stood toe to toe with GGG. He's not in fear of anything about Canelo at all. I expect a great fight and performance from both fighters."

Both hosts predict it will be a winning Cinco de Mayo weekend for Alvarez, the Mexican phenom. Carlos-Valentino thinks it will be pretty comfortable.

"I can see 116-112 for Canelo," he said. "I don't think Jacobs will be able to do enough to handle Canelo's constant pressure. I think he wears Jacobs down with strong body shots"

Thompson can see the judges making it a little more interesting.

"We are talking about Canelo, who seems to always be at the center of a crazy scorecard or two," Thompson said. "So if I see an even scorecard or 120-108 card, I would not be surprised. I've almost come to expect a crazy scorecard that doesn't best represent the actual action in a Canelo fight. But regardless still think Canelo ends up with the decision."

Unlike the typical pay-per-view platform, Saturday night's fight will be broadcast by DAZN (pronounced "Da Zone"), a subscription streaming service dedicated to sports that costs $99.99 for the year. Carlos-Valentino thinks DAZN is the future of how we consume boxing.

"This is the direction that things have been going for a while," he said. "This is how people have been consuming sports: on their smartphones and computers."

The guys also looked back at last month's Terrence Crawford-Amir Khan fight. Crawford won via sixth-round TKO when Khan was not able to continue following an accidental low blow.

"Now that we've moved on from that fight, can we get to the fight everyone wants to see, which is Crawford and (Errol) Spence?" Thompson asked. "There are two fights that have to be made I think in the next 18 months, and that is Wilder and Joshua and Crawford and Spence. Anything later than that, you really are losing these guys fighting in their actual primes, which would be bad for boxing."
